Berlin Flat No 11

The apartment is found in a listed building close to the famous Strausberger Platz with its impressive fountain. The subway U5 takes you directly there.
Alexanderplatz is also nearby and there are plenty of stores for a shopping expedition. For a break we recommend a visit to the "Fernsehturm" to enjoy the view and a cup of coffee in the rotating restaurant.

Friedrichshain has become a very popular area in the last few years. It is not just home to great restaurants and interesting shops but also offers some interesting galleries exhibiting modern art. On certain days of the week there are also markets selling fresh fruit and vegetables, handicrafts and other little treasures.

If you want to relax in the sun you could make your way north to Volkspark Friedrichshain or south to the River Spree. A guided tour along the river on one of the many ships is also to be highly recommended offering a very different view of the city.

The excellent Berlin public transport system also ensures that you can quickly and easily travel to other attractions that might interest you. If history is a passion of yours you will definitely not be disappointed by the various monuments, memorials and museums such as Checkpoint Charlie, the DDR Museum, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe or the Oranienburg Concentration Camp.

For those interested in getting as high up as possible to see the sights there are plenty of options such as Potsdamer Platz Panorama Point, the Siegesäule in the Tiergarten or the Reichstag. Nature lovers will love the many parks, zoos and aquariums scattered across Berlin and art lovers also have much to see with galleries, sculptures and also art on the streets such as the brightly decorated Buddy Bears.

Berlin has so much to offer whatever your interests. You will want to come back again and again to see it all.
