Berlin Flat No 4

The central location of the holiday flat rental makes it ideal for both sightseeing and for enjoying all the other leisure activities Berlin has to offer. Some of the walking tours of Berlin start from the Alexanderplatz which is just down the road from the flat. For those who rather explore places at their own pace and in their own way, there are many attractions within walking distance of the flat such as the Berliner Dom and the museums of Museumsinsel, the world clock on the Alexanderplatz and the Sealife Museum with its amazing AquaDom.

The efficient public transport network also allows you to travel further afield quickly and easily. Make sure you visit the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag building, the Sony Centre on Potsdamer Platz and the Kaiser-Wilhelm Gedächtnis Kirche on Kurfürstendamm.

For those interested in history, Berlin is clearly an interesting city. The Berlin Wall Memorial is a must-see along with Check Point Charlie, where there is also a museum featuring interesting information about the time that Berlin was divided. The Stasi-Museum gives further insights into life in Berlin in the past and the Holocaust Memorial is a stark reminder of the horrors witnessed. And if you don’t mind travelling a bit further out of the city, the former Oranienburg concentration camp is of further historic interest.

If you find you have had your fill of cultural and historical attractions and would rather spend time enjoying the fun activities that are so abundant in large cities, then you are also in luck. Around the area of Alexanderplatz you will not just find cinemas and theatres but also a bowling centre, the Television Tower with a rotating restaurant at the top, and for the more adventurous among you there is even a chance to go base jumping from the Park Inn Hotel. Berlin also has plenty of parks, such as the large Tiergarten, which are ideal for walks, picnics, games and relaxing in the sun.

If your passion is shopping then this Berlin holiday rental is also perfect for you. The Hackesche Höfe in one direction offer great opportunities and there is also often an outdoor market in the square with fresh fruit and vegetables and handicrafts for sale. In the other direction, Alexanderplatz hosts a Galeria Kaufhof, Saturn and the giant Alexa Shopping Centre which will occupy you for hours. And a journey on the S-Bahn to Zoologischer Garten Station brings you to Kurfürstendamm with KaDeWe, the Europa Centre and many other high street shops for you to enjoy.
