A couple of minutes walk will bring you to Kurfürstendamm
where you can enjoy the extensive shopping facilities with high
street shops and also the Europa Center and KaDeWe. The restaurants

Spanish, Italian, Mexican and Chinese restaurants providing you
with a taste of different cultures.
The beautiful old church on Breitscheidplatz,
the Kaiser-Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche, which was bombed during
the war, now stands as a memorial which is well worth visiting.
There is now also an interesting new church built on either side
of the remaining spire.
From here it is not far to the Berlin Zoo where
you can easily enjoy a whole day as a family admiring the more
than 1,500 animal species. You should definitely try to catch
the feeding of the sea lions who will impress you with their amusing
antics. And as might be expected in a zoo in the middle of Berlin,
a city with a bear in its coat of arms and possibly even named
after these animals, there are also various species of bear housed
here and it was once home to the adorable polar cub Knut who took
the world by storm.
Behind the zoo is the Tiergarten, a large park
area in the middle of Berlin which is ideal for summer walks or
BBQs. You can even hire a rowing boat, climb to the top of the
Siegesäule or sit in a beautiful cafè in the centre
of this park.
Travelling to other parts of Berlin to visit other
top attractions such as the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag building,
Checkpoint Charlie or the Fernsehturm is also very easy thanks
to the excellent transport connections close to this Berlin holiday
flat from Zoologischer Garten S and U-Bahn station or from Augsburgerstraße
U-Bahn station. There is so much to see in Berlin that you will
wish you could stay for much longer in this beautiful apartment.
